Jacob is a sixth generation Texan and was raised in Kyle, Texas. He attended Texas Tech University and was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Jacob’s uncle practiced personal injury law in South Texas for nearly 40 years and inspired him to join the field.

After earning his bachelor’s degree, Jacob moved to San Antonio to attend St. Mary’s University School of Law. In his first year, Jacob was a founding member of the law school’s Personal Injury Association and was the first Vice-President. It was in this role that Jacob had been introduced to the firm’s founder, Cesar Ornelas, which sparked a great friendship and jumpstarted Jacob’s career at the firm.

In law school, Jacob was a student criminal defense attorney at St. Mary’s Center for Legal and Social Justice and won a DWI case. Jacob was also a Research Assistant to Professor David Schlueter and assisted him in finalizing the 2020-2021 edition of the Texas Rules of Evidence Manual. In addition to these positions and attending law school full time, Jacob interned at the firm for two years gaining invaluable experience across all of the firm’s practice areas.

It is Jacob’s worth ethic and tenacity that set him apart from his peers and provides him the sound foundation to effectively advocate on behalf of all his clients.

Outside of the office, Jacob maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys hunting, watching football, and spending time with his family, friends, and wonderful pup.
